Christian Neumann is the Deep Tech Strategist at Heraeus leading the Identification and Evaluation of viable new technology solutions and attractive Venture Capital Targets. In his prior position as head of the Heraeus activities in Digital Printed Electronics he was pushing non-ready technologies to an appropriate level of technology readiness. Before that, he was responsible for the implementation of Corporate Technology Scouting and Corporate Venturing activites for Heraeus. He joined Heraeus in 2007 being responsible for materials development for the fused silica activities before starting a group devoted to the development of new porous carbon material system.
He studied physics at Justus Liebig University in Giessen and the University of Washington in Seattle before earning his PhD with the synthesis of novel optoelectronic materials by epitaxy.
